Fat Man Walking

Posted on Apr 4th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
This may be old news to Americans, but I've just this minute watched a report on the BBC about this, and just had! to blog it:

Check out the story here: Walker loses weight and finds soul

Here's his official website: TheFatManWalking

In the report I watched, Steve passed by a cluster of signs, some advertising Fast Food and other posters from many Churches offering salvation.Steve said:

"yeah, different signs but both offering the same thing."

The reporter asked: "what do you mean, the same thing?"

Steve replied: "both offering you the comfort of staying as you are."

WELLBEING Storms Away

Posted on Apr 8th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
Crawling out of bed this afternoon, I suddenly remembered to turn on the TV and watch the first race (the 1:45) on the final day of the Aintree Meeting (horse racing).Unfortunately, at the time, I was at a friends house and there's no internet connection, so I can't place a bet on the race online and it's too late to make it to the local bookies.Upon watching the horses parade around the paddock, a horse called 'Double Vodka' caught my eye, and little wonder seeing as though there were still a few doubles doing the rounds in my bloodstream.I said (slurred) to myself "I bet 'Double Vodka' will win." But then another horse caught my attention even more, it was named 'Wellbeing.' Aha, I proclaimed "a horse with that name has just got to be my choice to win, with Double Vodka being relegated to an each way shot." And so the race duly started, but because I had hardly woken up yet, I hadn't studied the colours of the horses, therefore I wasn't sure which horse was 'Wellbeing.' The commentator wasn't mentioning Wellbeing, but he did mention that Double Vodka was making good ground towards the front.A few furlongs passed and still no sight of Wellbeing.Double Vodka was still up with the pace but his jumping was all over the place (they should have called him triple vodka and coke methinks).Just then, the commentator finally mentions Wellbeing, though his words do not sound positive - "And Wellbeing is last in the field" There's still a mile and two furlongs to go, so I'm not too concerned about Wellbeing, though he is ten lengths off the pace, so he better not leave his run too late. Double Vodka pulverises another fence and merrily marches into fourth place, with Wellbeing making a little headway towards midfield. The next few minutes are a blur, as I must have nodded off, however soon awakened with the commentators roar of "It's Wellbeing, Wellbeing's coming through on the inside, and he's passed 'Noble Request' and gone on.He's going to win this one comfortably by twelve lengths. And Wellbeing storms away!" I thought to myself that I must have been dreaming, so I rubbed my eyes, gained some focus and read the results on the screen.Sure enough Wellbeing had won by a country mile. And guess what, Double Vodka stayed on well to come in third. Not bad at all for a 66-1 chance.Wellbeing's starting price was 7-1.

Now I could have gotten annoyed that I had picked out two horses to score in this race, yet I hadn't bet on them. However I was very happy, because I know that Wellbeing always flows, now, tomorrow and forever more.Seeing how the horse conducted himself in the race was a perfect metaphor for me, it was beautiful. Watching the race again later on (when I had woken up a little more) you could see that Wellbeing was never intimidated, even though the rest of the field were moving further ahead of him.Although the rest of the field were going at too fast a pace which they couldn't keep up, Wellbeing didn't even concern himself with that.Even if he was miles ahead of the field early on, he wouldn't have worried that he was setting off at too fast a pace either.Basically nothing outside of Wellbeing concerned him, for he was well within himself. There was this cool calm collectiveness about Wellbeing, this inner knowing that it was all going to turn out just as it should. It didn't matter to him what the other horses were doing, because he was well within himself, and that was enough for him *get it?*

Win or lose, it mattered to him not at all, yet he still stormed away.

Still Staying Smart

Posted on Apr 9th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
I posted this blog back in February: Stay Smart
During a recent conversation, I was reminded of the the Stay Smart blog. However, upon viewing it, something didn't seem quite right, it needed changing. As a reminder here's the old version:

“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.” - Bill Gates

Success is all very well, but keep in mind that it’s the answer, not the solution.

Stay smart!

And now here's the updated squeaky clean (at time of writing) x class, mark 2, #1 version:

“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose.” - Bill Gates

Success is all very well, but keep in mind that it’s the answer and the solution, not just the answer.

Stay smart!

Why the change?

Well even when I wrote the original I wasn't quite happy with it.To be honest it was lazy of me to post it when I knew there was something wrong.Fortunately hardly anyone read it anyway, LOL!
The change is because I am so zoned into Law of Attraction, that I now see all the time when I am not in line with it.Even back in Feb when the original blog was written, I was well into the LOA.However, maybe not as zoned in and as impeccable with it as I am now.
Anyway the new version is now in line with the Law of Attraction.

Cheers!

Indescribable JOY!!!!!!

Posted on Apr 10th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
"Reach for thoughts that feel better; pay attention to the way you feel. And as you bless every emotion, whether it feels good or bad, because you know that it is the indicator of your connection to Source Energy, you regain the feeling with which you came forth into this experience to begin with. And as you regain your memory of why you came forth into this physical experience to begin with, you will be inundated with indescribable joy." ~ Abraham Hicks

Taken from: You are living the manifestation of the perfect dream

Life is a joy ride!

There must be aliens!

Posted on Apr 17th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
It's nearly 3am here, so just posting this thought I had before I head to bed.If anything we think and ask for, it is always given, then if I say:

"I'd like to meet aliens from another planet/galaxy"

or

"I'd like to explore the Universe in a spaceship"

Then the only reason why I haven't yet is because I haven't allowed it.

You want whackiness, I'll give ya whackiness!

Goodnight!

This is the key

Posted on Apr 18th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
"Consciousness does not need physical form. But physical form needs Consciousness. And Consciousness enjoys physical form, because physical form is the leading edge of thought. So, Consciousness expands through the physical form. It’s not one or the other." ~ Abraham Hicks

Contemplate that.Once you understand it, you've mastered how to live, you know why you're really here, truly.

Teaching Happiness in schools

Posted on Apr 20th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
Just saw this report on a TV programme: British school to offer happiness lessons

" "To me, the most important job of any school is to turn out young men and women who are happy and secure -- more important that the latest bulletin from the Department for Education about whatever," explained Seldon."

If it works, let's hope it's in all schools before too long.

The Architecture of Happiness

Posted on Apr 20th, 2006 by flex22 : Mystic flex22
Just saw a report on a TV programme showing Alain de Botton talking about his new book: The Architecture of Happiness

Must admit, buildings have always fascinated me.Like how do they decide what they'll look like? What goes into it? What's the point other than its obvious function? What are their significance?

This book is definitely on my 'to read' list.
